We ship by sea from Montreal to Lithuania, then overland into Ukraine. Below is the current rate for a car, how the deal runs, and an honest account of customs — including the exemption you most likely will not be able to use.
1. Purchase in Canada. We buy from a dealer or at auction in our own name — Alpha Auto, a licensed Quebec vehicle merchant, not a broker passing you along.
2. Montreal warehouse. Photo and video report with the VIN visible, so you see the exact car before it is loaded.
3. Sea: Montreal to Lithuania. Export declaration, container booking, marine insurance. You get the booking number and track the vessel.
4. Lithuania to Ukraine. The overland leg from the port. We quote it against your actual delivery address, because the price depends on where the car is going.
5. Customs clearance. Done by you or your broker. We hand over the full document package: invoice, export declaration, title.

The sea leg from Montreal to the Lithuanian port is $1,800 per car; the overland leg into Ukraine is quoted against your specific address. Powersports are quoted per model.
The price is in US dollars at the Alpha Auto (Montreal) rate as of 17 September 2026. Ukrainian duty, excise and VAT are not included and are paid by the consignee. The total for your order is confirmed on the invoice.

Excise is calculated by formula: base rate × engine capacity in litres × age coefficient (the age of the car in years, capped at 15). On an older car with a large engine the excise can therefore exceed the duty itself.
Clearance is done by you or your broker. We hand over the full Canadian export package: invoice, export declaration and title.
You have probably read that the free trade agreement between Ukraine and Canada cuts the duty on Canadian cars to as little as zero. That is true, but with two conditions that get mentioned far less often.
First: the exemption applies to cars manufactured in Canada, not bought there. Most of what people buy in Canada is assembled in the United States, Mexico or Japan — origin is set by the plant, not by the place of purchase.
Second, and decisive for us: the exemption requires a certificate of origin. It is issued by the manufacturer, and we cannot provide that certificate. So budget your customs clearance at the normal rate. We would rather say this plainly than have you build a discount into your budget and meet the full amount at the border.
The seller is Alpha Auto (9487-1373 Québec Inc.), a licensed vehicle merchant in Quebec, OPC permit 2109609-1 — we buy the unit in our own name at a Canadian dealer or auction, not as a broker passing you along. Everything goes through our Montreal warehouse, where we shoot photo and video with the VIN visible before loading. Minimum order is one unit: we work with private buyers and with dealers. We have moved over 700 units out of Canada since 2022.
The factory warranty does not survive export from Canada. BRP (Can-Am, Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo, Lynx) states the warranty is valid only in the country of purchase; Toyota and Lexus cover vehicles registered and normally operated in the United States and Canada. That is the manufacturers’ rule, not ours, and it applies to every exporter. We do not offer a warranty of our own — what we do is sell new, unused units with full documentation and a visible VIN, and help you order genuine parts.
Customs clearance in Ukraine is your side of the deal, not ours, and the rates above are for orientation — check them with your broker before the deal. We do not ship to Russia or Belarus.
